Datalogging Cable not connecting
I just bought a cable off of Xenocron and I cant get it to connect right with freelog. When I plug it into my COM ports it never changes? It also says COM10 no matter what COM I put it in. When I plug in my burn1 to different COM's it says all different numbers like usual. Anyone have any ideas? :6

Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
Those drivers for the USB cable hard to install right. Are you using Windows XP? What I do is use my lower USB port for the Burn1 and the upper USB port for the logging. I get errors when constantly unplugging each port so just assign a device to a port and always use that port, ie. (upper and lower).

Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
im using windows vista. could that be the problem? The drivers iinstalled when i plugged in the cable. should they be installed manually? If not should i just memorize the com port and mark the correct com port as the datalogging cable?
Thanks |
Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
how about you ask ghettoturbo/xenocron and make sure you can have it as vista compatible?

Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
Here are install procedures. It's funny, I don't want to get a new computer just because its going to have Vista on it. Boo

Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
If you still cant get it to work try Freelog V1.0.78. I've had good luck with it. If you cant find it send me a PM and I'll email it to you. Also there is a setting in Freelog that wont capture data until the car is at operating temp so I just simply set that value to 0.

Re: Datalogging Cable not connecting
Give me the make and model number of your laptop. I might be able to slipstream your drivers onto an XP install disc, problem solved.
