data log problem

i keep trying to run ecucontrol and my computer flashes run time error 30005 invalid alignment

i cant data log at all when ever i hook the cable up to my lap top while it hooked up to my ecu my car will shut off and i will get a solid cell.

you have your wires crossed somewhere if its freaking out the ECU and shutting the car off...
