PM6 is an OBD0 ECU
Code 6 is "ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor"
Code 10 is "IAT Sensor (Intake Air Temperature)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor"
These are from http://www.hybridgarage.com/tech/codes.html and shouldnt render your car unstartable.

I think he's right with the timing. My friend had a 2000 GSR motor that was never messed with. He put it in his CRX and the same thing happened. We checked EVERYTHING, then we checked the timing and it was off a grip! Mysterious since that belt was never touched, and it was stock as ----!
