Crome question

Figured i'd post here before pgmfi as this is probably a retarded newb question..

chipped p06 Ecu, b18b engine, can i just use the (p75-q01-270.bin) and modify this code, or do i have to swap the date into a different codebase. I'm going thru xeno's Crome startup guide, and the example they use is use the p72 maps into p30 codebase.. Do i have to bother with this, or is that p75 ready to go?

Re: Crome question

Edit: It depends where you got the bin. A search brings up a bin by that name on xeno's download site that is already P72base, but there is also one on the pgmfi stock code download site. If it is stock code and you want to add boost or datalogging, you need to copy the maps to p30 or p72 code. If it was from xeno's site and already has boost etc, then it is already in one of those 2 code bases.

p75 code should be fine.

Re: Crome question

p75-q01-270.bin is the file i downloaded from xeno's stock bin file directory, so i should be good to go?

Re: Crome question

his description underneith states that it's p72 code, so you should be fine.

Give it a shot, as you make changes, save the file under a new name, or an incrementing number or something. That way as you learn what works and what doesn't, you don't always have to start from scratch if you corrupt your bin on accident.
