Choosing a Soldering/Desoldering gun.
Ebay seems to have some decent deals on used Hakko units.
Anyone have any other suggestions for a decent low $$$ gun. TIA, Dave (hoping JD will give some insight here..... ;) ) |

Does it have to be a gun? I have a variable temp Weller Iron that I'm nothing but happy with.

How much? |
Re:Choosing a Soldering/Desoldering gun.
Weller is super common... their prices are therefore cheap, and you can actually find tips and misc parts for Weller units in any electronics boutique unlike the Hakko ---- Hondata jocks... nothing wrong with Hakko, mind, you just have to mailorder everything ahead of time.

Whats your gun of choice? |

Actually, check out partsexpress.com . I think I paid like $35-$40 bucks for it. It's been like a year, so I can't remember. I know it wasn't that much.
