Chipping an already chipped ECU.

Some guy wants me to chip is P28, but its already chipped with some ebay chip. Does this ECU have to be chipped again to use Uber/Crome/etc? Is this ebay chipped ECU even able to be chipped with a uber/crome/etc. chipping kit? If I have to re-chip it, what do I have to de-solder?

We would need a picture of it. If it has a socket then all you need to do is remove the chip that is in there.

Basically, I was just curious if there where any resistors/capacitors that are installed with these ebay chips. I know I can find out by just looking at the ECU, but i dont have it available to look at, so I was just wondering.

If it's already been chipped then yes, the resistors and caps are already there. Like CSaddict said above, if there is a socket just remove the chip from the socket and your ready to run an Uberdata chip etc. If the chip has been soldered directly to the PCB, your going to have to de-solder it from the board but be VERY careful not to lift any traces otherwise you'll have more repairs to do.
