if you are going to keep it stock for now I say hold of, search harder and find a P72.

If you use the chipped p28 yeah you can disable the knock sensor with it but then you have to run some Uberdata or Chrome maps...I dont know personally how well that would run with stock maps. You would also have to remove your secondaries from the IM because the ECU wont be able to control them.

You could get someone to convert your P28 to a P72 I think, but then that would just be too much IMO

How much is this "cheap" P28 and whats the cheapest P72 you have found?

I got a good deal on a virgin Auto P28 a month of so back for $90 shipped.

Keep searching hard...I would still reccomend getting a P72, if you search daily, you will find a deal on EBAY. Just make sure to get some sort of correspondance from the seller so you know all is legit. Then chip it yourself to save $$$...it's really not as frightening as most think it is.
