try it on another computer? you use and daizy chaining on the parallel port? and dongle? or it it connected streight to it?

600mhz comp, 512k ram, winxp, and it's connected directly to the parallel port.. Maybe i'll try it on another pc, hopefully that will work

Sorry dude, i bought it used like 2 years ago, i have never opened it up myself.. No dongle, no daisy chain, it's the one and only thing connected to the parallel port, it sees the chip..
After hitting start, it goes thru three status bar screens, then the error comes up as stated above..

and it's not a brand name comp, and i don't know any info about the mother board or anything...

Fill your buffer with all 0x00, and write that. If that works, then write the ROM to the chip.

tried that, it wrote it with no errors, but as soon as i put in a map it comes up with the same ----.. Does it have to be registered? It should work for up to 256 right?
