Default Chip delay

So, I chipped my ECU a couple days ago and it is fine but when I start the car up, for about 5 secs the car has a cel and is probably in limp mode, then it goes off and the idle changes and I can tell it is reading the chip. When I put the turbo kit on and use an uberdata chip I'm wondering if the car will be able to start with the 450 injectors not scrolled back for that 5 seconds it isn't reading the chip. Is this normal, anything I should do?

Hmmmm, only a short 5 seconds huh? Are you sure it's in limp mode? try reving and if it won't go past about 3500-4000 then it's definately in limp mode. If the light is on long enough for you to pull the code that could also be some help.
How is it after the light shuts off? have you driven it at all and does it come back on?

No, it just comes on right when the car starts, like it is still loading the chip. Just the first 5 seconds whenever I start it up, never comes on during driving.

Well, this may be normal. I know all cars flash their dash lights at startup, and they slowly go out.

Yeah, I did a little research, pretty sure it will be alright, if not, I'll be sure to post up with a thread entitled something like "Crap, my ECU is screwed"

Yeah, sounds like you'll be alright. Just don't start a topic like..."trance, I'm gonna kill you"

what ecu are you using? is this the first time you put it in your car? some ecu's do a self check or whatever for like 5 seconds, and some dont. i have had three different ecus do this, and one that didn't. this is normal... especially if there is no code.
