Checking codes

I've been curious to know if pulling codes from an OBD2-OBD1 converted ecu will work the same way an ordinary OBD1 vehichle would? Do you still jump the connector and read the blinks, or is OBD2 completely different? I havn't had to do it yet, but for future refference I'd be interested in knowing.

yup on my gf's EK we have a obd2-1 jumper harness in running a p28. There is still a service connector in the right hand side that you just jumper with a paper clip. Then count the blinks of the check engine light.

Very good info. I did notice the service connector was there, I was just a little cautios of attempting it after I switched to OBD1. Thanks for the help :)
