cheap usb ttl adaptor for datalogging

Im pretty shure that ti caculators communicate using ttl (simular the the ecu). If this is true there is usb adaptors at bestbuy for $9 for the TI graph link. I know nokia DKU 5 data cables can be modded easly to work with the ecu. Has anyone ever tried this with the TI data link cable.

To test a cable's compatibility with ECUControl:

Get your voltmeter out and measure the voltages.
If the TTL part works somewhat like the MAX232 and simliar, this should apply:
--The RX is likely to be around 2.5 volts. When you fiddle with it, you should see strange characters on the terminal screen.
--The TX will likely be close to 5 volts, and the average voltage will drop when you send data from the PC.

And of course if you put the two together, whatever you type on the terminal should be echoŽed back.
