cheap injector solution besides the 450s?

I see a lot of people use the DSM 450 injectors, but are they really necessary? Couldn't I use something off of one of the lessor DSM's or maybe a prelude and still be fine? It would be nice to hear some experience from anyone using other injectors. If anyone knows the rough whp/boost limits of these injectors that would be very helpful. I am looking for options for my 2000 Si that I hope to get up to 260whp on a stock engine.
Thanks for the help

you better get 450's if you're looking to make over 250 whp, i wouldn't use anything smaller for over 200 whp :-\ cheaper solution? they're only 50 bucks, have you priced namebrand 450cc injectors ???

Here are the reasons I was looking for other options:
possible free injectors
easier install (i was hoping i could just pop in the prelude ones)

get the free ones, sell them
sell your stock ones, and you'll have enough money for the dsm 450s. i got mine for $40 at dsmtrader

FC rx7 injectors (2nd gen) had 440's on the NA... earlier years had low IC late (88.5+) had high ID... but i doubt the injector clips are the same...

just know there are always 7's in the yards...

You can get 450's for $50 and they take about a half hour to install and they're good for some very decent HP. Why complicate the easiest part of a turbo kit?

Ford redtops 310cc. With a little dremeling on the end and 2 O rings stacked they fit right in.

Bizzar can you take a picture of one of those done and ready to fit in and post it? I'm curious. I can get brand new 440/42lbs Ford injectors dirt cheap.

When you thought HMT couldnt get any cheaper.

There is a reason everyone uses them...just follow the herd.

TunerToys sell brand new 440s for $199 and they are plug and play for Hondas.By the time you buy a set of used DSM ones and have them cleaned you have spent almost as much as these new ones cost. I know alot of people run used injecters with no problems but do you want to take that chance just to save $25 to $50? ::)

The rx7 injectors fit pretty decently in the honda rails, just need to use a washer to space it up a tad. Like someone mentioned above, the NA 13b injectors flow 440ish.

---- that.

the guy that made this post is complaining over $50 bucks. $50 bucks ain't ----.

unless you're pushing 300whp you're not going to be close to maxing them... and you'll beable to tell when you go to get your car tuned and if you can listen if one of the injectors is fucked.

Re:cheap injector solution besides the 450s?

ive used rx7 inejectors on three different setups now and they run fine. They are 460cc's and are low inpedence. You do need a washer for the rail but thats risky to me so all you have to do is hook up the inj clipps on there and then bolt the rail on. the rubber grommet fits there snug so u still do wat you do with dsm's. just get them from any fc rx7, they are orange square tops. im running a set now using turboedit (with TE's 450 injector sizing option). U can find these on ebay for like 20 bucks.
