i put the 450s in and it runs too rich at any % of correction
then i put the 240s with the smc unhooked and it pops & bangs but the "light show guage" reads rich
i tried 2 different computers but its the same thing(pr4's) im ready to buy a fmu

You installed resistors if your car doesn't already have them right? And you made sure you double checked your install of the SMC? What settings did you have on the SMC with the 450's. If you've got your stock injectors in there, the settings should be zero'd out.

its installed right its an 88 so the resistor is there with the 240s the settings were zeroed out

Re-check how you connected SMC (wiring/solderings).. seems like your ECU is getting wrong readings, so it's dumping more fuel than needed.

ok i found out that my timing belt jumped it runs smooth but i think i still got a defective smc and its out of warranty(90 days) and i didnt even use it i will use a friends SAFC to verify that

well u said u have the resistor box there with the 240 injectors?? could it be that your using high impedence injectors???i dont know

my 240s are from a crx so the are low impedance
im almost 100% sure that dsm bluetops use resistors
