car bucks and hesitates at 14.0 and leaner in vacuum- thats not cool
in vacuum my car bucks very slightly when my a/f goes any leaner than 14.0-14.1ish. it doesnt happen all the time, but its starting to become annoying. now im gonna richen it up and cure the problem, but theoretically if my o2 was enabled shouldnt i be running at close to stoich anyway with no driveability issues? could it be ignition related like my plugs are fouled?? car runs flawlessly otherwise

Well if it happens EVERYTIME your wideband goes leaner than 14.1 then I say your Wideband is off...
If it only happens in certain spots on the map, I would say you have mechanical issues. Does your car idle well? |
Re: car bucks and hesitates at 14.0 and leaner in vacuum- thats not cool
my car idles well, at about 900-1000 rpm. idle a/f is high 13's (although as soon as i come to idle it goes high 16's, then takes 1 to 1.5 seconds to drop back down.). i was thinking the wideband sensor is possibly off, but it did a free air calibration and its reading 20.9% o2 in the atmosphere, and i think the real % of oxygen is about 21, so its close.....the sensor has few hundred miles on it tops.
id say it happens maybe 25% of the time im running the 14 a/f ratio, which is mainly around 11-14 vacuum. it is so hardly noticable my friends didnt know it was happening until they drove it |
