can't find ecu support
 

i've got a 91 accord with i believe an OBD1 PT3 ecu(if i'm wrong please correct me) and i can't find jack ---- for chipping or tuning. Most everything i find is limited to integras and civics. I may have simply overlooked one of the units but so far i can't find anything. I'm willing to learn to edit roms and program my own ecu fuel/ignitions tables but i need a kick start in the right direction first...thanx for reading.

try asking on the uberdata forum, he does obd-1 stuff.

I got the same problem, I own a 91 Prelude with the OBD-1 connectors but i'm not sure if either of our cars are truly obd-1. I can't seem to find any information at all about our cars on the chip burner sites anywhere :(

no love for the f22's...i'll try to ask uberteg tho or if u can get to him sooner that'd be good too. I finally convinced a company to mass produce f22 turbo exhaust manifold now i just need to convince someone about engine management. Are our ecu's even chippable?

The ecu may or may not be chippable but since it is obd1 you could just use an intega/civic ecu with programming for your car. You probably won't have a good basemap to start with but it could get you rolling.

i'd really love to keep my ecu is the thing. Its most likely gonna be the best for my application. Since the engine management is the lifesource of any application i'd like to use my existing base map on my ecu but just modified to my specs. Theres gotta be a way to tune this ecu for boost.

..have you thought about, I don't know, maybe opening the ECU and looking at it?

Also, I know a P0A is chipable. As a matter of fact, I have one sitting right here that came with external EEPROM from the factory.

You'll be able to dump the program, and begin modifying it for your needs. P0A I believe is SOHC VTEC, F22 is DOHC VTEC.. you should be able to modify the maps on the P0A to that of the DOHC's Maps...

Any ecu that you chip doesn't modify the stock basemap....it creates a whole new map. So keeping your stock ecu is of no real advantage over a civic/integra ecu, unless of yours is chippable of course then its just the money aspect.

How can you tell though? LIke what do I look for in a PK3?
