can you tune only with a WB?
can you actually tune with only a wide band display in numbers without datalogging and looking at the A/R chat?
i mean like e.g first tune up to 1k rpm then increase 500 rpm on every run.? just saw some WB kit on the net goes for like 300 with sensor but has no datalogging function... |
Re:can you tune only with a WB?
Sure it's possible. It's not easy because you've got about 3 sometimes 4 things to watch at the same time. Thats why dataloging is so handy, but it can be done without. Also, depending on what your using to tune with (Uberdata, turboedit etc.), Disablingclosed loop will help out with the partial throttle tuning.

Re:can you tune only with a WB?
BTW where are the difference on datloggin between the tech-edge kit and the one where you weld a little pvc board directly on the ECU?

*Solder
..and yes. Sensor datalogging (as with TechEdge) is said to be "more accurate", however, accuracy is in the eye of the dicatator. I.E. what the ECU "sees" is more important than what the TechEdge dataloggers sees. So, personally, I say that I would rather have the ECU spit out what it thinks it's seeing, vs what any outside source would say that _it_ sees. |
