Can you identify this ECU?
http://www.media-mizer.com/willpictures/DSCN0712.JPG
I bought it, but I forget what it is; there are no stickers or markings on it anywhere. I know it's obd0 without an external rom. Actually on the side there's what looks like an ink stamp that says '91.4.25... so any ideas? |
Re:Can you identify this ECU?
Actually.. I think that might be a PM5 or PM9 DPFI ECU..
From what I see of the picture, it's a USDM Civic ECU (based on the location of the CEL LED), and the second chip from the bottom, on the right, is _not_ an M38256AP EEPROM, like the PM6 and PS9 would have if that 91.4.25 stamp correctly matches the board. There is normally a sticker on the A Plug socket, and a sticker right by where you read the stamp. Whomever sold this to you seems like they were trying to hide something if they removed both of them. ??? |
Re:Can you identify this ECU?
would it be possible to buy a daughterboard for this ecu to make it chippable?
|
Re:Can you identify this ECU?
Not if it's a PM5 or PM9.
They are dual point ECUs. |
Re:Can you identify this ECU?
pm8 hf computer
|
Re:Can you identify this ECU?
I believe you can use a daughter board on a PM8.

Re:Can you identify this ECU?
I just looked through my old Ebay auctions; seller claims it was a PM8 HF computer, 88-91. I'll give the daughterboard a shot. Thanks guys. Anyone have that link to the thread on pgmfi where the guy is selling daughterboards?
