burn1 install
i have followed the direction on moates website andit says in there directions that the burn 1 has to be in com port 1-4 to work but i have pluged it in to all the serial ports that i have and none of them were below com port 6 when i looked at my hardware screen dont know what to do.
i have a toshiba laptop list of my com ports side:comport 6 comport 7 back:com port 8 com port 9 |

You can go into the control panel and assign a different number to it. I thought that craig's sight outlined how to do that. either way, that is what you need to do.

it does outline it, or at least it did when i bought my burner a year ago

my burn1 is USB, and so windows XP recognized it like any other new USB device that I'm installing (with the drivers from the CD). I let my buddy hold it and he had no problems either. I've had more troubles installing printers than the Burn1. Is your computer a POS?
