brannn brannn brannn launch control!

just wondering so how does this work, cuts fuel at the set rpm or is it through ignition...?

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

haha, yeah it's a fuel cut at a speciafied RPM. If set up and tuned properly it can be an effective tool to build boost off the line.

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

i thought it was an ignition cut, wouldn't a fuel cut be kinda bad?

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

Not sure about some of the other programs, but i know Uberdata and most others use a Fuel cut. No, the fuel cut is not bad. It's kinda hard to explain, but there is a big difference between cutting fuel so the engine will not rev higher, and running an engine lean.
Also, if the launch control was set up as an ignition cut, there would be alot of unburned fuel dumping down the exhaust... causing quite a fireball in the end...

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

really so it is fuel cut... hmm cuz im boosting 1 psi when i use launch control at 3k.
Can someone verify turbo edits launch control?

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

I don't think TurboEdit has launch control....yet.

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

Yes it does. :P

..it's a fuel cut. Most of them are fuel cuts. Your Honda ECU does a fuel cut for it's upper rev limit. It's all good.

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

It works? Someone told me it wasn't enabled? :-\ Fuckers.....

I think it was even said in the first TE class. ???

when should we see try 10?

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

It would be optimal to do fuel cut in combination with a spark retard to prespool the turbo.

Well, I hope to release it Monday night...

Things new to Try10:
* Faster more efficient ROM manipulation engine
* New Window layout for tables. NA and Boost maps are next to each other for fluid viewing
* Map windows are sizable (for people with larger res desktops)
* PR4 ROM checksum calculation bug fixed
* Beta version of the Plugin Interface released (API Will be documented for anyone who wants to write TE plugins)
* Refined ROMulator Support
* Boost Projection for automatic creation of Boost Fuel Maps
* Boost Retard addition (Now will support a Step retard for more power, rather than just a safer linear 'per psi' reatard)
* Fuel Injector Scaling (INCLUDING latency calculation.. Thanks to Mike of GhD!)

Plugins to come as API developes:
* 'InstallShield-ish' Tuning Wizard
* Datalogger by Nick of ECUControl
* Advanced MAP Scalar Editing (For 2 and 3bar MAP Sensors as well as ITBs)
* Advanced Mode (Removed from Core App, integrated into Plugin interface) with more options and better Control to edit more ROMs.

..so on so forth, I guess. ::)

make sure you have a healthy timing belt before you try n go "bumping limiter" all day. ;)

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

lol, at the street races, wheni have no exhaust, i just let my car bounce off the rev limiter for like 20 seconds, attracts cops and they all get pissed. hahaha.

Re:brannn brannn brannn launch control!

Hahn funny you mention that Spencer, I was doing a pull down the highway in my LS and thought I had more rev to go, but hit the limiter and what did I see flying up behind me? A cop ;) He followed me all the way until I got home... prick.

you guys are lucky, if you were in south fla, you would have been promptly pulled over and tickected and/or escorted to jail.

its getting so bad it seems like its gonna be a illegal to buy a import soon. they are gonna set up stings right outside import car dealerships. lol

is ecu control 5 coming out too?

it'd be real nice to have a working datalogging feature.

Why should the cops care about your revlimiter? ::)
