Boosting my lude timing retard yes or no?
 
Im going to be running 7 pounds of boost on my 98 prelude with a t3 turbo. I will have a SAFC2 and 450 DSM's. Will i have to have my ignition retarded for this or will i be good to go?


i know about ludes weak ring lands and pistons so i dont need info about that. I will have that taken car of

turn your dizzy a degree or two retarded if you can. OBD2 ECUs figure this out and start advancing it again tho, from what I've heard.

get a 255lph walbro fuel pump too. you can boost 10psi with the afc at stock timing. if you hear some detonation, add more fuel with the afc. works great. just pay attention though h22a's run a higher compression.

i left mine the way it was, and boostng 9psi with hack, waitin to buy a msd btm soon just too be safe. Or go with boost chip and retard timming 1/2 degree per lbs/boost. I did rotate the dizzy, but car felt sluggish and slow at low-end.
