Default Boosted fmu or vafc mgmnt CRX owners, how did you configure your 2 o2's.

I am going to use a vafc map volt alteration for a turbo going on a b with the stock pw0. Since the stock ecu requires an o2 sensor for cylinder 1 and 2, and then another for 3 and 4, how do you guys take care of the situation in regards to your turbo manifold, and not being able to place them correctly? I really don't see how you can do it correctly without programing the ecu to run in open loop constantly, and just putting both o2's in the downpipe.

How do you obd0 b series guys overcome this obstacle without modifying your stock pw0 or pr3 when going turbo while managing fuel with a fmu or vafc without the rom editing programs like zdyne and ghettodyne etc.

...splice the two O2 sensors inputs together..

With a regular na stock header splicing the two together usually is a shitty idea since the ecu leans one pair and looks for change while richening the other. Are you saying since its a single downpipe where the single o2 to splice from would be located it wouldn't have the adverse effects of the stock na header situation being fed directly by 1-2 and 3-4?

The ecu is still going to try and lean one pair at a time. Getting the crappy on/off switch volts from just one o2 for both pair's cycles far down in the dump tube just doesn't seem right. In my mind that would leave one pair constantly a little lean and the other constantly a little rough ince the two would be coming together and cancelling eachother out in readings, and the cycle would never alternate cylinder pairs.....thats a perfect world description though. So the minor imperfections of being stoich even when you have two pairs doing opposite work is enough to get the o2 and ecu to toggle the cycle as designed?

Ive thought about splicing before, but to me it doesn't seem like that would work to well, thats why I asked so I can get one or more testimonials from people doing this...

Well, you're limiting yourself by not modifying your ECU, and refusing to put another O2 in your exhaust track.

..your only other option is an O2 simulator.

Turboef,

I modified my above post after you posted but its probably just saying stuff you don't need to read.

Oh and btw in your last post it sounds like you thought I want to run only one o2. I actually have no problem running both, im not trying to get around that, I just figured it wouldn't make a differance if they both pull from a collector such as the dump pipe acts.

How do you get an o2 simulator.
