Default Boost w/ Ghettodyne & ZC

Has anyone here successfully run a boosted motor with a Ghettodyne Programmed chip? What about a ZC motor. If you have, how many PSI are u running and what other fuel management do you have?

I'm running a d16a6 with a programmed chip. The binary file I'm using is from George, so it's in the same neighborhood as what you're speaking. It allows 450cc injectors, no check engine light (CEL), and it retards the timing 1.0 degree per psi and gives rich fuel up to 6-7 psi (from what I've seen). Could use just a hair more up top if you were running higher boost. The ZC can also run off this, but I think maybe a tad more fuel.

i'm still unclear wether you need to run any other hack along with the program. would it eliminate the need for my smc? so all I would have would be the georgehack, and my 450's?

wouldn't your MAP sensor freak out at that psi? if yes, then how are u telling the ghetto chip the psi?

The chip was programmed to ignore the MAP sensor, so there's no CEL. I think what it really does, is it cuts the voltage (like the AFC)...

There's nothing else involved except the 450cc, and the dang chip. Life can treat you good sometimes. LOL

where did you get your chip? did you burn it your self? i'm right up the road from you and all i need for my install is an afc (short on cash right now). i've got my 450's, if you can burn me a chip we can do my install (i emailed you a couple of weeks ago). i don't expect you to burn me one for free or any thing, but i'm sure it would be cheaper than an afc right now.

What would you have to do to modify it to use a GM 2 or 3 Bar MAP Sensor? Anybody done this?

Reformat the ECU's maps to accomodate the 2 bar scaling. I wouldn't care to try the 3 bar, though. You have too much loss of resolution on the input signal with the already muddy signal of the 3 bar + dirtying the waters further with an AFC hack.

the chips are ATMEL 29c256 flash chips that I purchased.. can use them over and over... THEY COME BLANK.

and I've got an eprom programmer (burner) to burn binary files to the chips.. so I was lucky enough to know/run into George and Joseph here. Using the 91pm6georgehack file which I think george made and maybe Joseph modified?...

projekteg, I could give you a chip for say 10 bucks since we live close to eachother... with that file burned on. Remember, you have to desolder the stock rom out of the ECU, and that takes a little time and patience. Then put in a ZIF socket... see below

- 28 pin socket EEPROM socket (Got mine at www.digikey.com for $6.50, part number: A347-ND)

and you solder in the zif socket.. makes putting in chips a breeze. Heck, I could even modify your computer for you if you want.. purchase that zif socket, and I'll meet up with you sometime and I can take out your stock eprom and put the zif in for you... I'll do everything for 20 bucks if you want.

okay so i have a zc also and am wondering about this setup..i have almost all my turbo pieces together but im looking for an afc and 450's. so with this chip i dont have to do the afc hack? and can this chip be put into a pg7 ecu? thats the 88-89 integra ecu. and what about more boost. i want to run around 9 pounds and then at the track with better gas i want to run 10-11. is that possible with the chip or should i stick with my plan and go with the afc?
