vems souds sorta like megasquirt with less info, i've looked into SDS also but it just seems like ms is the way, unless we go gorilla attack style the AA or dinan master head qaurters and steal there software and ---- they use to edit chips

hpf uses aem units i think, i think they have a custom made one for there e46 m3 kits

one time i started a thread on bimmerforums and got a bunch of them hyped about wrinting there own programs n ---- like yA WE CAN DO IT, then nothing happened. it can be done obviously but the stingy people at aa and dinan keep there ---- secret cause they make a killing on these yuppies

if i knew ---- about programing and what ever they say id give em a run for there money, we need more hmt beamers

You're probably best set with MS2. Its only ------ish if you wire ---- like a ------. :1

Seriously, you can get all the ---- for $500 if you solder yourself & ---- like that. Even with a OTS version with SMD parts, youre looking at $750 armed to the teeth. Neptune RTP is like $450+ecu, AEM is usually $1k, etc. MS2 isn't bad when everything is considered.

MS2 running the extra code will rock your socks. Cheap and cool as heck. Only problems I ever had with mine where my own fault, mostly wiring.

If you do go with the MS I highly suggest you assemble it yourself, it is cake to do and give you a really good idea of what is going on inside. Also as more and more stuff is added to the firmware most likely the need to add and modify circuits will arise. Like to add flat shift, lauch control, boost crontrol, and so on (all of which are available now)
