best wideband for the price???
Hey just wondering where i could find a cheap but good wideband, lets say PLX or NGK?? just a plug and play.. the one i'm looking for is the one with just the senor and the box to see what the A/F's are. let me know of any site!

How do you mean? Its a standard LC-1. The display is cheesy but its not an Innovate product. The LC-1 is meant to be a Laptop display unit.

Here's a link to their site: http://www.westach.com/products.htm#AUTOMOTIVE The pic of the AFR gauge on their site shows it reading from 12 AFR's to 17 AFR's but the one that I have reads from 8 to 18 like I said above. |

Spend the money and get the Innovate LM-1. You can't beat the data logging feature when tuning.

i bought the diy kit from wbo2.com with a really nice 4 number led display. you can make the kit for any sensor you want to use. i'm not sure ow much i paid all in all cuz the prices are in au dollars, but they're tech department is really nice and helpful and they talk like the crocodile hunter. only thing is you gotta call em at like 3 in the morning cause they're on the other side of the world. i hope i soldered mine together without burning anything up though or else i'll have problems. i should have it hooked up this weekend though, just gotta plug in the o2 sensor and drill a hole for the wires, then run power and ground wires.

I've built about 8 megasquirt units, so I'm fairly confident that I can build a wideband o2 My buddy uses one in his eclipse. It's a decent wideband, but the price is a little steep. |

I just ordered my LC-1 for 199.00 + 10.00 Shipping (not bad for USA to Canada). I fiqured I wouldn't need a gauge as I have the laptop anyways. If I do, I'll buy one, or I fiqured I learned enough in college to make one!

with the LC-1 dose it come with data logging software? On their web site it list a ---- load of programs that will datalog it but wasnt sure if it came with one?

Didn't look to that. I will be using it with Chrome/Uberdata/TE who all have support ofr it so I'm not worried

The zeitronix is a great deal. The datalogging software is ------- simple, has extra sensor inputs, and logs fast.
The PLX series is cheap for a small tidy package that includes display. The tech-edge units are dirt cheap. This was the first major electronics compotent I ever put together. Slow at first, then pretty easy by the end. I accidentally hooked it up backwards when testing and fried it. No exp. with the others. If I was into ------- with other cars that didnt have their own integrated logging solution, Id rock a Zeitronix w/ display. For Hondas, I like the PLX package. Having a display all the time makes you notice things you would not normally see w/ limited laptop logging. How the car behaves during different (cold/hot/------- heat soaked) conditions, and you can start to notice trends or possible errors in your fuel tune. The AEM wideband (besides costing about as much as an entire backyard HMT hackjob setup) has a cool looking display. Other than that, I think they are about as gay as boost gauges that read in bar. Edit: Just checked out the Innovative site. Hot dam, they have a ---- ton of products. If you can score a cheapy display for the LC-1, and find a cheap sensor from another source, youd have a very nice setup for less than the PLX. Thier XD-16 digital gauge is pimp too. You can even put your own logo on it. A HMT A/F gauge would pull madd ho's, hahah. |
