Best Settings For B16 using V-AFC

Basically, what the topic says.

I'm running a B16A3 with a TD05H at 8 psi stock wastegate. I have DSM 450's. Full boost is at about 3700 rpms. So far I'm using the settings from the drop shop link. But I'm having intermittent trouble with my idle, it's not consistant. Also I want to know it I should richen up closer to 8k from the -36%

-36% at 8k on a B16? Your killing it man. :o I have mine at 35% at 6500 on my little D15 at 10 psi. You should turn that up a tad. Just tweak the idle settings with the car running until it idles smooth. I have my 1000 rpm at -47%. Otherwise it idles funny.

Well, I'm not driving it, It's sitting in the garage right now. Do you think I should raise it to -30% at peak with a gradual drop till full boost and then a steeper drop at idle? (going backward from rev limiter)

something like this?

1k ~ -45%
1.5k to 2.5k -40%
3k to 4.5k -35%
5k -34%
6k -33%
7k -32%
8k -31%
9k -30%

Also VTEC is at 5800rpm, what recommendations do you have for this?

Re:Best Settings For B16 using V-AFC

WTF is this VTEC thing you speak of? I know nothing of this VTEC. :P I don't know a whole lot about VTEC and boost. I have heard that for N/A you would want the VTEC engagement lower, but for boost it might cost you some power. Lower it a bit and see what happens. My old ECU was programmed to engage VTEC at 5000.

What gauges do you have? As long as you don't throw a map cel at -30% and 8000+ rpm you should be fine. It's all trial and error. Set it like that and see what happens. You are better off a little too rich than a little too lean.

So far I have a boost guage, and I'm rewiring my vafc for the O2 sensor. I'm gonna reset my Vafc with the new code probably some time today. I'll get back to you.

Well I changed my settings, and now I seem to have a litle bit of difficulty starting my car....

It runs but not without cranking the ---- out of it.
