Best route for OBDIIa/b

Ok.. i've started gettin parts for my project and i was wondering what is the best route for a 97 Y8 auto? i'm keeping the auto.. tranny cooler is on its way..

i don't want the Hack.. heard too many bad experiences

AEM EMS and Hondata are too $$

we don't have emissions checks or ECU checks... just standard stuff.

Also,, as far as i know there is no one around that can chip stuff for me. So, if need be i may be needing the services of a few TurboD'ers and/or some HMT'ers.. (PHiZ?)

I don't trust my soldering abilities to my ECU...

also.. if you say go OBDI etc.. don't just say it.. tell me what i need to do it.. also approx. price ranges would be good.

***don't tell me to get a kit.. i will say FUCKYOU!*** wait.. illicon's gone.. nm..

go obd1, use a conversion harness, a obd1 5spd ecu, you MIGHT need a different intake manifold and/or IACV.

fairly painless..

Go OBD1.....there is no other way....and it has already been told how to do it.
So I won't waste my time telling it again...search around check the Faq's and www.pgmfi.org Kevin(projekteg) can get you some chipped ecu's maybe...you'll need an auto P28 or an auto P06 with VTEC.
Good luck boosting with the auto tranny....

You may need the auto OBD2-->OBD1 conversion harness which is a little more expensive.

PM your details and I'll see what I can work up for you as I am now selling conversion harnesses ;)

Also, I am in North Jersey...about 45 minutes from Danbury, CT. Dont know how close to you that is...

if i get a OBD1 ecu.. it won't control my auto.

and if i get a auto P28 or P06 Vtec will it control it 'correctly" (well, as good as a boosted slushbox can do)?
