The Haltech E11v2 is also a very robust system for that engine. Also this system like its AEM counterpart offer a PnP loom for ease of installation.

I think at the end if all depends on who is doing your tuning and if that tuner feels more comfortable with one system over the other.

You don't need to go to that level of EMS for that car..(Unless You Want To)

I believe the E6 will do the job for almost a grand less...

Nah the E6 lacks some features for that kind of engine to be controlled. At the very least you can use a E8 and have almost all the bells and whistle that of a E11v2. Most of the case is that ppl that are modding those kind of engines in the Supras usually will try to get the nicest EMS and items that they offer in the market.

Also E6X are going to be getting phased out and Haltech is moving towards the Platinum series that they currently offer for the VQ35, Kseries and GT-R.

Get an AEM and just use the stock 2jz harness. Its not that hard.

Cheap honduh aem + wire it in yourself = win.

Also if considering a E8 or E11v2, they have been replaced at the end of this year by Haltech. The Platinum 1000 and 2000 model will take place of the E8 and E11 and I think they will be released in the 1st quarter of next year.

All the patch looms for popular cars like the Supra will be able to be used as well with these new units. If you ever seen the GUI for the Platinum 350z ems, this is what these systems will incorporate as well. I am waiting on getting one (P1000) for my Sentra with a SR20VE

You want information about a Supra? Look in a factory service manual, and intuitively figure it out for yourself using common sense.

LOL, that is hilarious, but sadly you are right. I only have seen a few locally that are very educated on the inner workings of their own vehicle.
