batronix 4

Re:batronix 4
I had the same problem when my power cord was unplugged
but seriously this would indicate the computer isn't fully hooking up with the burner I believe. I had my scanner hooked up to my parallel port, and my eprommer hooked up the output parallel on my scanner, and I was wondering why it wasn't working... then figured out the scanner had to be turned on for the signal to be passed through it.

i've got the same problem as well...kind of: it works pretty good on my desktop (its slow though). it works really good on my new HP laptop, and i've gotten it to work ONCE on my old compaq laptop out of hundreds of tries with different settings. its very erratic and its pissing me off because i need it to work with this laptop.
has anyone contacted batronix about this problem? i'm wondering if i can get my money back and just buy a USB burner and be done with it. i have a feeling that its actually burning the data ok, but when it reads back to verify, something gets messed up and it reads all of the values as FF (Which is the default). so it has something to do with the bidirectional port not operating like it should on some computers. please keep this thread updated if any of you find out more on this...i'll do the same.
