BAseMApping Issues...Help! Pics of maps included.
So im using the "easy" basemaping instructions found on Xenocrons Site and i have a few question.
When i open the PM7 bin and use the export fuel and IGn maps i notice that when i import them in NG55 they show up like this http://img28.exs.cx/img28/6387/befor...torsize5op.jpg but after i resize to 390 cc injectors they drop to like 1.08 is that normal? im just curious because thats what they look like on NG55 before you modify to 390's yet on the PM7 map the fule starts out at about 1.68. http://img28.exs.cx/img28/2962/after...size3900ga.jpg what am i doing wrong? is their something i am missing? this is exactly what im doing.... 4) Here is where some methods of creating ‘base’ maps vary: - Easy Way i. Open the stock ROM for your motor in TurbEDIT ii. Export the fuel and ignition maps to a file name “stockmap.exp” using TE’s export functions iii. Open the stable ROM in TE iv. Import ‘stockmap.exp” using TE’s import functions |

that's the program scaling down the fuel maps down for larger injectors ;)

Just an FYI, your fuel maps is going to be super lean. I used the roughly the same values for my PM7 maps and the motor barely ran. Super lean, I ended up scaling the hole map up 30% to even get a decent basemap with ok AFR's. It is still lean in places.

With NG55 and having copy pasted the maps from the old NG48 basemap it ran ok and boosted past 10..actually it went to 15psi... :-\ im just a goof using this awsome software but i dont know it all so im learning as i go ;D |

Well, I have some concerns. Xencron brought to my attention a small issue that directly effects the equation of the boost efficiency routine which makes you have to use a higher than "normal" efficiency percent to achieve the same AFR. Also, injector duty cycles could be effected due to the increased pulse width durations required to achieve the same AFRs.
..I'll talk to Rory and Dave, and see what is up. |
