Default bad chip?

I have a chipped 90 pm6 and when i plug it in my main realay kicks on but my fuel pump does not. no cell codes or anything. and when i plug in my 88 si ecu my fuel pump kicks on and the car starts right up. so is there something wrong with my chip or is my 90 si ecu blown

second problem is when i use the williem chip burner it does not id the chip. but at the bottom of the screen it says hardware present. i use at29c256 chips is this normal

im pretty sure that a bad chip wouldn't make your fuel pump not work at all. i'd lean twards your ecu bein the problem

Follow the willem programmer write-up on this site.

odds are that it is not a bad chip. It is very rare for one to be DOA.

Would the chip erase/burn/verify ok?

<- hoping a bad chip is the extent of my problems.

use second chip to eliminate that as a potential factor in the problem

What kind of chip are you using?
27sf512 . I am going to get somemore of them tonight. I am hoping that is the problem, rather than my ECU soldering.
