B16A P30! ECU problem with newfile Crome!

Hi all,

this is the problem:

B16A P30 G00 ecu.
it was already chipped before i got it. but had no Eprom in it, and the jumper was cut.

soldered in a jumper,

Opened Chrome -> New file -> selected the P30 jdm ECU and started tuning.
Added launchcontrol, changed the revlimiter, adusted fuel an ignition tables.

programmed the chip, and put it in the ecu, and now the car wont get past 4000 rpm.
CEL goes on after is goes out when going to ignition with the key.
while driving, turn the car off and on, makes you able to go past the 4000 rpm, but CEL stays on.

I dont know if the soldering (done by the previous owner) was done bad, but i think by the looks of it is OK.

I had a similiar problem with an ESI last year. there was no problem with the soldering, it was the NEW File used from chrome.

Im pretty sure its a bug in the basemap i found the bug to or did you forget to remove the check sum and have you tryed a p28 base just to see if it goes into limp

i think i forgot the cheksum, ill will chek it later this day.

i ran in the sameproblem with a p28 ecu on an ESI engine, I kept getting Limpmode.
I had to use a boostmap programm to use it for N/A, i dont know what was the problem. but it wasnt the checksum

it was the checksum, and the knocksensor was enabled. it was an edm p30 ecu.

tuned it today... man, it went like a beast on 95oct with open exaust, 4-2-1 header, WAI and milled head. each tune stronger!!

the owner of the car really wanted it able to rev to 9200 rpm. I told him 9000 is already the max!!, and your beating the sh!t out of this engine.. anyway....3-4 streetruns went ok (not in the revlimiter, more like 9k.)
5th tune and last tune was tuned for low end torque.
onstartup the owner revved the engine up (I think to toucht the 9.2k revlimiter which he didnt hit before)
well at 9200 rpm ting ting intgg prrrtt valvefloat, and the engine was dead.

it sucks, when you help some1 for a tune, and then it ends thisway.
