Default b16 redline 7200...????

can anybody tell me why my car is bouncing at 7200rpm instead of 8000...i have a stock pr3 ecu, this didn't happened when it was still all motor. now it's boosted and i also added some other stuff to it, VAFC, MSD box (no chip), can this be the problem? i was thinking it might be the VAFC but not sure.....

Cold rev limit hits about there.......
Is it crossing-over when it does this, or is it still on the low cam?

You throwing any codes?

VAFC will not keep you from revving. MSD possibly, but that all depends on which one you bought. Dave's probably righ though, you're computer probably thinks you're still cold.

the only code it's throwing right now is the TDC sensor code...i don't think that would make my rev limter be at 7000rpm...

HAhahaha... yes it could.

TDC is top dead center. It's the sensor that tells your ECU "where" the engine is in it's rotation, thus, basing the ignition firing systen ON that signal. If the signal isnot received, then it's probably falling back on a default value in the code. Since it senses trouble the ECU is probably not going to let you rev that high on a ----'d off ignition system.

...and you should always fix your codes before trying to diagnose a problem. _Any_ problem. It's just common sense.
