Re:B15B9 Engine

my D15b7 is rated at 105 hp. I suppose the only real difference between the two is yours is dual overhead cam and mine is single. I imagine the internals are similar. The head is interesting though. This engine is non-vtec?

Re:B15B9 Engine

are you sure its not a D15b9? I couldnt get any info on a b1589, but there is some on a d15b9.

Re:B15B9 Engine

It is a HONDA CITY. Front wheel drive and 2002 model. As i said earlier I think this car is available only in Asia.
Tell me how to add a picture and I'll load a pic, ok

Here's what I could find. It likes like that car is pretty much a strict econo setup. 77 hp at 5000 rpm, 8 valve, 1477 cc. I don't think there is anything equivalent to that stateside, but I may be mistaken.

BTW, welcome to the site. It's kinda cool to have some worldwide representation.

Re:B15B9 Engine

Sorry that is the latest City. I have the older City with 100BHP, 16 valve, DOHC and ofcourse it is boosted.

Re:B15B9 Engine

how hard is it for you to get parts over there in India?

Am I just ignorant of a booming turbo scene in India?

upload pics to: http://www.newbieforces.com/ then put a img tag around the url... like so: [ img ] url [ /img ] with NO SPACES....

Re:B15B9 Engine

Booming turbo scene in INDIA???? Wow. Right now I think there are ONLY 2 boosted Honda's in the whole of this country man. V DONT GET ANY PARTS HERE. Everything you need has to come from there. that is the biggest problem.

Re:B15B9 Engine

does it look like this
http://asia.vtec.net/article/2003City2/modcity.jpg

Well that is a 2003, but it doesn't say anything about a b series engine, they talk about a L series engine.

turboindia 04-08-2004 03:21 AM

Re:B15B9 Engine

Re:B15B9 Engine

Ok do you have them on your computer.
I'm assuming you do.
Go to www.newbieforces.com, scroll to the bottom and click on picture upload.
then browse for the pic, select it, and click on Submit. Then it'll give you another message click on that.
Scroll all the way down the list to the last file, this should be yours, click on it.
It'll open the picture and a URL, web address.
Copy that URL to you PC, right click then copy.
Come back here to HMT. click on the Button that lookc like a picture right on top where it says Add YABBC tags:
the fourth one on the second row.
this shouls appear
[img] [img]

now click on the middle between the ]and[ and paste the URL you have on your Computer's memory.
example
[img] put URL here www.whatever itis.com[img]

click on post, your done.
Hope this helps, I want to see that car.

nonvtec 04-21-2004 07:41 AM

Re:B15B9 Engine

You want details on the D16 engine? they're all over the place, D16z6 is a Sohc Vtec engine with 125 crank hp stock. D16A6 is a non vtec Sohc with 108 crank hp stock.
