Any dif. between Ostrich emulator and a RTP board?
 
As the title says, is there any dif. between Ostrich emulator and a RTP board? Im going to be tuning with chrome (free version) on a non vtec ecu. Thanks alot,, -Nick

I just went with the Ostrich so that I had the option of do other peoples car in other programs.

Ahh I see the rtp boards are just for the specific ecu they have been put in...? lmk if this is right. Thanks guys.

Yes just get a Ostrich and call it a day.You can rent it out to others for tuning as well.

i have the RTP board in my P28 and its not fun right now...

if we can get it to work it would good times, however that is not the case.

have a solid cel right now and i can commuicate with the ecu.

buy a ostrich, i wish i did now.

Some people say yes, others say no...personally, I have never even attempted it...just get an Ostrich and be done with it.

for the replacement cost of a P28, get yourself the security of the ostrich.

when the rtp board was being soldered in, the mcu was overheated and cooked when the wires were being soldered in.

not good times.

Ostrich is bad@$$ and Craig Moates is the man! I initially had some issues with my Ostrich, but Craig was extremely supportive with my questions and offered to send me out a new one. Great support and a great product. Definately worth the money.

Xenocron is Awsome at dealing Moates product. 1 week and 1 day to get it from him and I'm in Canada!!!
