another pissed off zeitronix owner

so despite what people were saying about the zeitronix zt2 widebands and how they were ----, i decided to try it out anyways. well, everything works except for the map sensor reading in the datalogging software. i'm only running 10 psi, and it shows me running 31? i'm gonna guess that it's off. it does this despite where i tap for the map reading (on the map sensor or on the ecu), and i've tried it in 2 different cars and it does the exact same thing. is there some nOOb setting i'm not seeing, or something i'm forgetting to do? i've got it tapped into the map signal wire on the ecu right now

are you certain its the right wire? I bet you hit the 5v ref signal wire...

would the reference wire still read all different values? it doesn't just read 1 value, it just reads like it's way the ---- off

how are you tapping the map signal into the zeitronix, thru the user data wire? did you calibrate it to convert the map voltages to psi?

no, i've got it hooked up to the map signal input. i'll try it on the user input though

the zeitronix doesnt have a map input, it has an input for the boost sensor..

the newest software has some calibration stuff, just fiddle with it til your boost gauge matches the display.

well i've got the boost sensor input wire hooked up to the map signal. is that not how to set it up? if so, then how would you go about doin it, using the user input on the map signal?

the boost sensor has 3 wires related to it.

if i were you i would just configure it with the user data stuff.

I have zeitronix and its now hardwired into my cars harness and its never missed a beat.

Perhaps you should get the correct map sensor for the job because as far as i am aware it needs to be the unit that is sold by zeitronix

Lol...I think you should read the instructions first.
The Boost sensor input is for the 3.5bar sensro that Zeitronix sells seperately.
for other map sensors you have to use the 0-5v user input.
It will read the voltage that the map sensor sends to the ecu from that you can determine the map sensor readings..
I still have to use the new software though...but this is the way most of the users use zeitronix
