Another fuel pump Question???

My friend has a Bosche 255 intank fuel pump for a 90' integra. I'm almost certain it should fit and work in my 91' Civic HB. I want to install it tomorrow but I just want to make sure before I go dropping the stupid tank since on 90'-93' Teg.'s and 88'-91' Civic/CR-X's you have to drop the tank to change pumps. Thanks

LOL, I'm sporting a 91 LS pump in the 89 CRX HF right now. They are the exact same part from what I can tell. Go for it, it'll drop right in.

Thats what I thought just wanted to make sure. Hey did you have any problem with the J bolts breaking or anything when you replaced it by any chance ? From what I'm hearing it's a good idea to go buy them cause they rust real easly and will probaly break while replacing the pump.

J-bolts? You mean the things that hold the tank straps taut? They seem pretty solid to me, that's not anything I'd worry about. BUT. I don't live in the rust belt, or the great white north where corrosion is a problem. Your mileage may vary.

little help about the pump

o.k. so when insatlling the 225 or 255 intank pump do you have to use bigger gauge wire and add a relay. Cause I saw in the FAQ section where someone said when wiring up a 255 pump you'll need to add a relay and use bigger gauge wire to wire it up ? Can I just use the existing wire and relay with out any problems ?

Re:Another fuel pump Question???

You can use the exisiting wiring and relay no problems.. Well, I have never had any problems anyways, and the walbro intake instructions dont say anything about that.
