Just like it says

I'm looking for a cheap replacement for the amtel 29C256 that is electronically erasable, If its UV erasable, it will work to if the price is right, any ideas? I just found these AT 28HC256's for cheap wondering if they will work.

28s can be used, but they are slightly different than the 29c though...you need to bend up one pin while programming, ground another, yada yada...some crazy ----

SSTs are the ----!

embrace the change.

Suprised that people didn't change to them even b4 the Atmels went belly up.

Everyone probably just did like me and stuck with what worked.
