Alternative tuning tools?

http://scirocco.dyndns.org/tech/misc/afgauge/af.html wb o2 meter?

I found this on pgmfi.org

any advice/suggestions on what is need for the wb02 meter wo work with a l1h1?

it seems like a cheap and effective way to monitor lean or rich conidtions(going to 12.1), any additional info would be appreciated.

thats not a wideband; thats a narrow band;
narrowband o2's are nice for telling you if your less than at or above a 14.7:1 afr...

buy a real wideband

Keep it on led 10

theres a link about using a narrowband o2 sensor and converting it to a wideband output. look for that one, it would look a lot cleaner.

You _cannot_ convert a narrow O2 sensor to read as a wideband.

The narrowband O2 sensor's voltage range is only 0-1v, and it's a non-linear voltage. It's got two MASSIVE voltage sweeping curves and two "flat lines".

Completely worthless for widespectrum... thus, it's "narrowband" name. :-\

Re:Alternative tuning tools?

so I basically need to rewire the meter to read 0-5v and then figure out what the increments are?

Ya.. linear voltage scales for the most common widebands are out there..

Re:Alternative tuning tools?

a l1h1 has what 4 wires right? I keep hearing about a narrowband wire, how do I totally replace my single wire narrow band with the wideband? Do I replace the sensor and run the narrowband wire from the sensor to the regular o2 output?

then from there I use the other three or four wires to go to a meter? enlighten me please.

A lot of the WBO2 *KITS* come with two outputs, a narrowband output, and a wideband output.

You can use the narrowband output to run from the WB controller, to the ECU directly, and it will run off of your WBO2 sensor.

This is not for tuning, this is so you dn'thave to run a second O2 bung.

Not to forget, that when I did this with my PLX, my gas milage increased! :D

It's a scaled version of the 0-5v... anyway.. ya.
