I assume you are talking PR3/PWO stuff?

Re: all motor turboedit question

PR3 and PW0 have to be the most worthless ECUs I've seen.

..hell, even a PM5 or PM9 can be used for parts. I use PR3/PW0 ECUs for tire stops.

so what do you suggest? ps9? or chip the pm6 use a rpm switch like the feilds vtec controller i have and then tune it or something?

Re: all motor turboedit question

first off you should use a ps9 and do 1 wire vtec, if you want you can use a pm6 with an rpm switch ( i do) but when you swap ecus, you no longer need any of the wiring changes that were made for the pwo/pr3 ecu, knock sensor, 2nd 02, vtec solenoid, oil pressure switch, all the wiring to those sensors can be removed as the ps9/pm6 do not need those sensors, then for vtec you simply wire up an rpm switch with the pos. output directly to the vtec solenoid, or with a ps9 one wire from vtec solenoid pinned into the ecu, i cant remember the location but lots of people know it, i hope that answered your question.....

..or just use a regular PM6 and use the A/C output option (thanks to Gimpy!) in TurboEDIT 2.5.0... keep up with the times. :D

No more PS9 is needed for VTEC.

Use TurboEDIT 2.5.0, ROM NG55 (at the time of this post), if your car came with A/C, there is a red wire in a set of 3, red/black/blue wires that come out of your coolant fan harness, run the RED wire to your VTEC solenoid, wa-la, VTEC.

If your car didn't come with A/C, you'll need a generic 30amp relay, because the A/C switch switches ground, and not power, THEN, WA-LA! VTEC!

..90-91 PM6s just got more valueable. ;)
