Aircraft EGTs
Is anyone using an aircraft EGT? Or know of anyone who has? Just curious if they work well on automobiles since you can get them so cheap off of ebay.

Originally posted by 92notec In my opinion, an egt guage is probably the most important guage you can own for a FI integra. Unfortunately, most egt guage kits sell for $150 or more. :bawl: Here's a list of parts you can buy that'll only run you about $69. All of these parts I ordered through Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Company. 1. EGT Gauge (P/N #2C2, $32.95) 2. Thermocouple (P/N 712-2DWK, $27.20) 3. Lighting Assembly (P/N 186, $3.30) 4. Extension Lead (P/N EPE130.07 $5.00) Note: if you don't want the plain looking black guage, you can call up Westach (www.westach.com) and order the white face guage. (P/N 2C2W) It costs a little bit more, but it will match your white guages better. EDIT: Go to this link if you want a more specific length of extension lead: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...es/westegt.php Also, P/N 10-18000 (4 ft. extension lead) is a better choice over the one listed above since it's shorter. There, now you have no excuse not to monitor your exhaust gas temps. Hope this helps some people out. . . |
