Default AFC vs V-AFC?

Sorry if this is a stupid n00b question but-
V-AFC means Vtec AFC right? Will it cause problems to run a VAFC on a non-vtec motor? Found an inexpensive VAFC but I want to make sure it'll work with a non vtec Dseries.

Thanks!

i dont see why there would be a problem if you just didnt hook up the vtec wiring. but i suggest you do some looking around into some tuning options. lets us know your engine ecu and we can get you on a better track then a AFC Hack.

Why he is correct. Afc work by changing map signal voltage. This changes fuel but it also changes ignition. So you get fuel correct but ignition is always wrong. This has been covered before. The only reason vafc still sell is because people like you. Uneducated Honda enthusiast.

haha ok I thought it was the least expensive route but apparently I was wrong I am planning on getting a D16A6 and I have the ecu for that engine (PM6 IIRC). I have a 13g turbo from a 1st gen talon, as well as the IC and injectors from the same. I have been reading up on turbos for some time now but there's just so much to learn!
Thanks for your help guys!

look into Turboedit and ecu control i used that on my obd-0 pr4 before switching to obd1 Xenocron Tuning: Fuel Management and DIY Tuning Resource Center for Honda and Acura Performance - Hondata, eCtune, Neptune, Crome, TurboEdit, Uberdata and Welcome to www.moates.net! : Moates.Net will have the supplies you need and this is really a good engine managment forum i like it alot better then pgmfi.org because you get faster response's by really great tuner's. i have post on pgmfi from years ago that arte still unansweard but this forum has answered all those. Good luck.
