Default Afc on obd0

Will the afc controllers work on obd0 crxes? Right now I am running a 5:1 FMU and would like something better and from what I have read on this site the afc is a step up. Sorry if this question has been asked i tryied the search function but everytime I wanted to scroll back it gave me a page expired screen.
