AFC Important question

Ok guys I know it's bad to use the AFC, but its all I have right now. I wirided it up but I noticed that the S-AFC II gets sorta hot. I was just wondering if this is normal? I was also wondering if anyone knows what the purple wire is for? Is it ok that I hooked the Orange wire to the power, but closer to the ECU and before the RED wire.

This his hooked up on a 92 civic Si. with DSM 450CC. Any help is useful.

My VAFCII gets pretty warm, it's normal.

Purple wire is for knock sensor, it's fine if you don't hook it up.

About the orange and red wires, one doesn't have to be closer to the ecu than the other. It's the ground wires that matter. The brown wire has to be closer to the ecu than the black wire.
