AFC hack but no check valves ?
I was reading up on one of the post for the F.A.Q. where a guy was using a AFC hack method on a honda and didn't need the use of check valves. I believe his setting were like -35% to -40% between 1,000-8,000 RPM's in all five gears. I don't get it. I have seen others using the AFC method with simuliar settings and they were using check valves. Did I just not read something right with the non-check valve method ? could someone clear this up for me ? Thanks.

Re:AFC hack but no check valves ?
I don't think anybody uses check valves with the hack. Its not needed. Read some more in this section. I'm sure this has been covered recently.

Re:AFC hack but no check valves ?
Check valves are not necessary, but maybe these people you're seeing are running over the 12 psi (which even leaning at 30% will still account for 10 psi) or maybe just to prevent their MAP sensor from blowing out if a boost spike hits.

Re:AFC hack but no check valves ?
You don't need the check valves when using the afc hack because you are lowering the map voltage input instead of the vaccumm/boost going to it.
