that statement says it all, they're not. I've done an apexi and a fields, both were easy. It took forever for me to do the fields because I didn't have good wire cutters and crimpers for my shitty crimp connectors. I did the apexi in less than 15 minutes using my good wire cutters, a soldering iron, and heat shrink tubing.

 

Will take an afternoon for your first time and maybe 45 min of trouble shooting

which controller should i buy?and with the afc will i need a boost retard device? should i buy one off ebay for 275? or at my local race shop for 400?

 

get a vafc, and buy the 400 dollar one at the local race shop, because it sounds like you neeed to get reamed in the ***.

Ever heard of uberdata or turboedit?

 

check the apexxi web site i got my instructions there cause the vafc i bought from ebay came with japanese instruction. wyai cha cha chee yo yo . they have an update with clearer wirring diagrams that i found after i hooked it up incorectly on 2 wires. the new diagram had a clearer view.
