AFC on a 10 psi boost car?

If i was to boost my car to a max of 10 psi and use the AFC, is there alot of difficulty setting up and tuning the car using the AFC?

not really, lots of people use afc's still... trebor has his b16 at like 11psi with the afc... put down like 240 to the wheels i think it was.. sure it wasn't to hard to tune...

if you have a BTM you should have no problems.

its actually better to run the AFC to the max/ close to the max of the Map sensor.

Re:AFC on a 10 psi boost car?

i ran 12psi in my y7 using a btm. got 168whp running very rich.

it worked ok and if you already have the afc then go for it, but if you have an obd0 or obd1 car/ecu then you'd be better off to chip/socket and use turboedit or uberdata...way cheaper and more tuneable/controlable.

i'm getting 193whp now on uberdata at 12psi...i'll take 25 more whp and more peace oe of mind.

i know you read this somewhere but i dont buy into this theory at all...

in fact I really dislike AFCs at any boost level. id feel safer running an FMU at 6 psi than I would running an AFC at 6psi or higher.

afc work by cahnging your liong and short term fuel trims therefore they change injector pulsewidths but i can't back up the theory that they advance timing 100%
