does everyones 450cc injectors fit flush (i.e. stock) in the stock seals? does it matter so much if there not flush?

by the way car is a honda 1.6 turbo. i have bored the stock seals out slightly .. maybe i need to do it a little more.

 

I have never installed DSM injectors, but in that DSM injector install article in the tech projects section it says they are supposed to be flush.

 

i see that you got the 450's from usa then mate so did i! mine fit very slightly unflush maybe 1mm up. i'll take a pic in a bit and post up.

I was wondering this also. Can you not modify the stock seals at all and still get it to work?? If not how much modifying is needed to get them to fit right?? Is it just a matter of boreing out the seals enough for them to fit?

And also will the stock injector clips fit on the DSM injectors?? I've seen these injectors sold on ebay with and without the clips.

 

well, i was too broke to go out and buy brand new o-rings for my 450s, so I used the stock o-rings on my 90 crx si and just used a dremel with the round sandpaper attachment and bored out the seals with that (perfect size on the dremel for the 450s to fit). Then I just installed everything and tightened down the rail, and no leaks yet. I thought it was leaking like crazy, but i forgot to install my fuel return line on my regulator oops.
