4-wire o2 sensor w. potentimeter adjusted output?

ford 4-wire ox sensor, im pretty sure my signal out is the gray wire (black = ground, whites = heater) correct me if im wrong. i just wanna make a poor mans version of megasquirt, so i can get my stoichy up to above the blatantly rich mixture that it has now. IF i've read it right, lean produces lower voltage? rules out me using a resistor, is there some way to add voltage? i can solder and stuff no problem if i know what im doing, i'm just unsure on what exactly i'm gonna do for adding voltage :-\ help me out here

If it is really hella rich, then it would take care of itself. What is causing it to run so rich?
