390cc's w/ vafc

i have a integra ls (95), and i was going to buy one of those vafc controlers. i am going to be turbocharging my car and also slappin on a vtec head. but, in the mean time while i dont have that stuff, can i put the 390cc injectors in and program it with the vafc to run on an N/A application right now? i have i/h/e. will i get a substantial hp increase? any thoughts/opinions? thanks

No, you won't get any substantial horsepower increase. If you did, Honda would have thrown them in from the factory. More fuel does NOT mean more power. I would suggest you install the injectors when you do the turbo... Is there any point to installing them now?

You can install them now if it makes it easier for you.If you will be tunning them like you mentioned youll be ok.As long as you just dont put them in without the SFC youll be ok.

I don't think this would make things easier for him; especially because he's going to NEED 450cc injectors when he goes lsvtec+turbo. 390s will run out of fuel in no time. I second the idea to just wait till you're turbo, then install larger injectors. Errrrr.. I mean, install them at the same time. :P

Just so Im clear on this can you explain why he would NEED the 450s with the ls=vtec?

Ive seen boosted b18s run with 370cc R.C engineering injectors.

The last time I checked the 450s were run at about -48% on the SFC.390s will be run at about -30% and that might be a little rich. With a stock botom end on an ls I dought he'll run into a problem with those 390s.But thats just my $.02

Would'nt 390 be safer then 450's since less correction is needed meaning the timing is less jacked with? (as long as the power made is with in the injectors capibility)

I'm running 390cc on 8psi with SMC500 management without any probs. Though B16 not B18 if it makes any difference.
