Disconnecting charge pipe overspins and kills the turbo. Producing boost puts a restriction on how much can be flowed across the compressor, which limits shaftspeed so it doesn't hit riceboy-thousand rpms and ---- up the shaft/bearings within ten minutes.
If readiness codes aren't set GUESS WHAT
The ECU has most likely been reset recently and hasn't run long enough to set readiness codes, and it sure hasn't tripped a CEL. You need to idle the car long enough for the fans to cut on and off twice, then drive the car 2-3 miles without hitting boost, readiness codes set or CEL set. ------- with the MAP won't do anything for the O2, evap, non-MAP circuit operation.
